A starting point for every age
- Ages 3–8: Songs, visual props, and short games with simple words and greetings.
- Ages 9–12: Stories, hobbies, and everyday exchanges with reading and writing at the right level.
- Ages 13–18: Age-relevant conversations about interests, family, and personal goals. Older beginners are welcome.
Characters and pronunciation
The Mandarin stream can accommodate Simplified or Traditional characters. Share your family background and school goals when requesting a lesson.
Teacher matching and parent involvement
Tell us about your child’s interests, language experience, and availability. The team recommends a tutor and coordinates the lesson with a parent or guardian. Parents can request feedback about their child’s progress.

Can a complete beginner learn Mandarin?
Yes. KABE Learning welcomes complete beginners and heritage speakers. Share what your child understands and can say so the team can recommend a starting point.
How long are lessons and where do they take place?
Lessons last 25 minutes and take place online via Zoom. Parents coordinate scheduling and receive the meeting details.
Are private and group lessons available?
Options include private 1-on-1 lessons and small groups of 2–5 children. The team confirms suitable teachers, group availability, and times during your enquiry.
